Driving directions from Cozumel International Airport: Exit airport and turn right onto Airport Blvd. Turn left onto Agustin Melgar Blvd and continue on road for ten minutes. Veer right towards the Zona Holtelera Sur and continue south for five minutes. The El Cid La Ceiba hotel is on the left hand side of road, near the Km 4.5 marker.

Amenity highlights: El Cid offers beach-and-pool areas north and south of a beachside restaurant. Insider tip: A movie crew sank an airplane just off the beach in the 1980s. Some 30 feet below the surface, the airplane is a popular diving target.
