Veer right towards the Zona Holtelera Sur and continue south for five minutes. Fiesta Americana Dive Resort is on the left side near Km 7.5 marker. Rental cars and shuttle/car service are the most convenient ways to get from the airport to the downtown or resort. Transportation options are available as you exit the airport. A group shuttle, or colectivo, to the resort from the airport: $5–$15 USD per person. Guests can also hire a especial, or individual car to get to their resort: $16–$25 USD. Rental cars can be picked up at the airport or in the city of San Miguel de Cozumel and are available through this Web site: more than $36. Due to union agreement taxis are not allowed to pick passengers up at the airport–however they are allowed to take passengers to the airport. Taxis from downtown San Miguel de Cozumel to resort: $5–$15 USD. Prices subject to change without advanced notice. Getting around: Rental cars, taxis, mopeds, and bicycles are the most convenient methods of transportation on the Island of Cozumel. You can hire a taxi to take you into city of San Miguel de Cozumel from the resort: $5–$15 USD. Taxis can also be hired for blocks of time or the day if you want to take a tour of the island: more than $36 USD. Make sure you set a fixed price with your driver before beginning your trip. Rental cars provide you with the freedom to tour Cozumel at your leisure: more than $36 USD. Mopeds are readily available for rental and provide a convenient way to get around: $26–$35 USD. Reef - Located on a terrace above the beach, the air-conditioned Reef restaurant features a sweeping view of the sea and serves buffet breakfasts and à la carte Mexican dinners. Miramar - Reservations are required at this dinner house, which serves international à la carte dinners. Tropical Forest - Dinner buffets built around various cuisines such as Italian and Caribbean are featured. Breakfast buffets are also served occasionally. Lobby bar - Open-air and including a lounge with a television set and a pool table, this spot is where guests gather after dark.

What to expect: The resort supplies isolation, fun for children, world-class snorkeling and scuba diving, and a Mexican atmosphere. Amenity highlights: The north-south road running down Cozumel's west coast separates the resort's lodging from the beach. One pool is located on the beach side of the road, the other on the garden side. The beach pool is ideal for cooling off, but for real swimming pleasure, the larger two-level garden pool is surrounded by a wide sundeck furnished with padded lounge chairs. Thatch-roof palapas create shade for snoozing next to the sea's gentle surf. On a deck at the base of the resort's pier, a dive center arranges scuba diving and snorkeling excursions departing from the pier. Insider tip: Exciting "shore diving" and snorkeling sites on coral heads are within swimming distance of the beach.

The 226-room resort offers guests a Mexican atmosphere from the moment they enter the cool, breezy, two-story lobby. Adults find pampering in the beauty shop, which also offers massages. Children have their own activities, video games, and playground. Unlike most Cozumel hotels, the Fiesta Americana has its own water-purification plant and says guests will have no problems drinking tap water.
